Weza Solange: A Luminary in African Media and Entrepreneurship

Weza Solange has emerged as a multifaceted force in the African entertainment and business landscapes. Fluent in both English and Portuguese, she has seamlessly navigated diverse roles as a TV actress, host, producer, MC, public speaker, and strategic businesswoman.

Television and Acting Career

Weza's dynamic presence first captivated audiences during her participation in the sixth season of Big Brother Africa in 2011. Her charisma and authenticity led to subsequent roles in prominent South African television productions. She portrayed Fumi Uche in the Mzansi Magic telenovela Inkaba  and took on the character of Florence Attoh in SABC3's Isidingo and the character of Hope in SABC 1's Generations: The Legacy. Additionally, Weza also took lead in Married and Loving it (film), Naked Reality (film), She was my best friend(thriller tv series) further solidifying her acting credentials.

Hosting and Production Endeavors

Beyond acting, Weza has established herself as a distinguished television host and producer. She gained recognition as a presenter for Channel O's music and lifestyle show Top Mais. Demonstrating her versatility, she hosted the inaugural Miss Africa Pageant in 2016 and served as a guest presenter at the MTV Africa Awards the same year. She also hosted Miss Africa Calabar twice and co hosted the acclaimed music show The Voice Angola. Weza's production acumen is evident through her creation of Acesso VIP, a lifestyle entertainment show that aired on Jango Magic, catering to Portuguese-speaking audiences in Angola and Mozambique and the co production of award winning "An Eye for an Eye", a south African Action Drama film.

She continued to gain experience and perfect her skills in the production of all 3 seasons of Big Brother Angola.

Her advocacy underscores a dedication to fostering positive change and uplifting marginalized voices across the continent.

In acknowledgment of her impactful contributions in the many different spheres in which she operates, Weza has been honored with the Prism Presidential Award, for Media Personality of the Year, Gauteng Women of Wonder award in 2023 and UNASA for Angolan Personality of the Year.
